Dr. Tori Adkins
D.C.
With a previous career interest in physical therapy, I have found my passion in helping individuals regain their joint health and mobility through the arts of Chiropractic care coupled with physical therapy. During chiropractic school, I was President of the Female's adjusting club and Vice President of student council. I have taken courses on functional movement screenings for injury prevention (SFMA, FMS) and MPI (Motion Palpation Institute). My niche is evaluating deficits in functional movements and incorporating soft tissue techniques such as: IASTM, cupping therapy, massage, musculoskeletal injury taping (FAKTR) and pin n' stretch techniques. My greatest joy comes from witnessing the transformative power of chiropractic in relieving pain, restoring mobility and enhancing overall vitality.
I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where I was running from one sport to the next. Whether it was volleyball, basketball or soccer, I have always been competing at a young age. As a freshman in high school, I made varsity volleyball and basketball. Outside of school, I competed in 15 years of Junior Olympic volleyball and joined the club team while attending Cleveland State University. Currently, I live my legacy by playing in sand/indoor adult volleyball leagues.
In my free time, I enjoy shooting billiards (pool), yoga, getting massages and hiking in the metroparks with my 8 month Bichipoo puppy, Juliette. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day so you can find me exploring the best brunch spots on the weekends!
Fun fact: I've only been outside of the country once which was during Chiropractic school. This life-changing opportunity was an all-female's mission trip where we served the community of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
